CRS Mobility Engineer

PM Combat Recovery Systems (CRS) is looking for a candidate to serve as a Mobility Engineer in PM Main Battle Tank Systems (MBTS) with responsibility to monitor, direct and coordinate engineering activities in design, development, production, and integration of major mobility subsystems on the M88.  Provides technical direction, design and scheduling guidance to contractors and Government agencies on the application and integration of improved designs into the vehicle system.  Expertise with the integration of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), Engine Control Modules (ECM), Diesel engine technology and transitioning technology from development to production is a requested for this position.  Qualified candidates may also serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for either the CRS Family of Vehicles (FOV) STS contract or the CRS 1790 Engine Durability OTA. 

Essential Job Functions: 

Duties include evaluating Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Request for Variance (RFVs), Field Problem Reports (FPRs), Quality Deficiency Reports (QDRs) and Risk Recon.  The CRS has high visibility and many participating agencies/contractors with conflicting priorities and objectives. Engineer prepares, reviews and manages contractor's work directives, Request for Engineering Services (RFES's) and oversees cost, schedule and performance risks relative to assigned projects.  Provide technical and programmatic advice to the PM, dPM, and APM for the Combat Recovery Systems, PM MBTS Engineering directors and other stakeholders for all areas of responsibility. 

COR responsibilities would include serving as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to monitor contractor technical performance for multiple CRS projects.  Some of the high priority projects include systems engineering, fleet readiness, safety and obsolescence efforts.  Duties include providing significant input to the CRS Chief Engineer by communicating technical priorities to the contractor, generating and reviewing technical requirements, assessing CDRLs and other deliverables; supporting project and budget planning, assisting contract negotiations, supporting inventory management and submitting monthly COR reports.
