Research, organize, write, edit, and produce data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and allied fields. Recommend overall organization and layout, editorial standards, publication methods and the like. Coordinate publication with outside sources and vendors as needed. Develop department editing standards and styles. Provide work leadership for lower level employees. Exclude those responsible only for writing or editing and those with full supervisory responsibilities. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
