ITIS Modernization Systems Engineer (SE4)
Salary: Up to $150K, based on education and experience
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance w/ FS Poly
Location: Laurel, MD.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems,
engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 10 years of systems engineering
experience.
• A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
• A high school diploma or GED plus 14 years of systems engineering experience would also
be acceptable.

Job Description: As an IT Modernization Systems Engineer on our team, you will support the
customer's information technology integration office in orchestrating threads, requirements, and
many common functions across the enterprise information technology infrastructure. The
systems engineer in this role will provide systems engineering services to support integration
across projects/programs through collaboration and coordination across service owners with
mission stakeholders.
The selected individual will:
• Provide systems engineering support to a web portal initiative that will provide all users
with a central location to request EIS services, determine status of requests, and determine
operational status of EIS services.
• The systems engineer in this role will assist in requirements derivation, and collaborate with
stakeholders and service owners, to achieve a simplified, streamlined portal.
• Collaborate with service providers, analyze data on service offerings, and make
recommendations on how to streamline offerings.
• Analyze data provided by service providers and recommend content for modern service
portal.
• Participate in the development of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems
Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirement Specifications, and
Interface Control Documents.
• Derive from the systems requirements and understanding of stakeholders needs, functions
that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness.
• Provide support to the government to establish and follow formal procedures for
coordination of system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete
coverage of all interfaces.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
• Experience providing systems engineering support to software development efforts.
• Experience in requirements elicitation, functional analysis, and requirements
deconstruction/decomposition.
