Job Description

As a systems administrator on our program, you will provide technical support for protecting critical information, systems, and assets. You will learn how to help vital build solutions, troubleshoot, and implement new software and hardware. You will help customers overcome tough challenges through system monitoring and performance management. Your communication skills will come in handy as you provide staff training and help desk support and assist with the development of an overall IT strategy for our government client. This is an opportunity to gain experience in virtual machines, Linux IT systems, and distributed network environments. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in IT systems support, including Tier I and Tier II customer service, incident, and problem management
  • Experience with managing enterprise applications and services, SCCM/MECM, WSUS, and providing basic configuration and troubleshooting support to DoD365 customers
  • Experience in the implementation of industry best practices for hardware, software, and system performance and security
  • Experience with DoD environments, standards, processes, and policies
  • Ability to manage both physical and virtual workstations, servers, and network resources, including building, configuring, and managing devices in a LAN or WAN topography
  • IAT level II Certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with using vulnerability and compliance tools, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Experience with administering Linux or UNIX systems
  • Experience with collaboration software, email services, and cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of IT Project Management and various methodologies
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards of service
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, and Certificate services
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • BA or BS degree
